NEW DELHI: France-based gear maker Alcatel-Lucent Monday entered into partnership with Pune-based Syntel Telecom, for the distribution of the former’s enterprise solutions.

Syntel, a fully-owned subsidiary of Arvind Limited will bring to retail market a range of Alcatel-Lucent products and solutions such as data networking, Wi-Fi, enterprise voice communication and collaboration products and services targeting small, medium and large enterprises.

“The relationship will expand our reach and strengthening our eco system in India as we deliver on opportunities to help businesses improve productivity and agility by creating a personalized connected experience for their employees.” Jan Zuurbier, Head of Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise Global Sales said in a statement.

“This opportunity helps our partners reach from the smallest of businesses to the largest enterprise, including government and public sector establishments that Syntel was not catering to earlier,” Vipen Malhotra, Director, Syntel Telecom Limited said.

Malhotra said that Alcatel-Lucent enterprise solutions our complement Syntel’s existing voice and collaboration portfolio and added that Syntel operates through more than 300 partners across the country.
