The existing 2G and 3G Vodafone customers, according to the company can also upgrade to 4G SIMs at any of the Vodafone stores available across the city.
“We want our customers to be 4G-ready so that they can start experiencing the benefits of high-speed mobile internet services as soon as they are launched commercially,” Amit Kapur, Business Head – Karnataka, Vodafone India said.
After making 4G services debut in Mysuru, Vodafone is expected to launch 4G-LTE services on the 1800 MHz band in Bengaluru this month.
“We are all excited and fully geared up to launch our 4G services in Bengaluru very soon,” Kapur added.
The telco is also working on a business strategy to deliver 4G-ready SIMs for its premium high-value customers through home delivery.
