Asus today announced that its Zenfone 5 smartphone for 8 GB version will now be available for Rs 7,999. The best-selling smartphone out of the series, ASUS Zenfone 5 has received tremendous response in the Indian market.
ASUS introduced the smartphone at a special price of the special occasion of Republic Day. The device will we made available on January 21 on Flipkart.
The ASUS ZenFone 5 combines a spacious 5-inch IPS panel that delivers high definition (HD) 1280 x 720-pixel resolution and features a 8 megapixel PixelMaster main camera with image stabilisation. It is powered by an Intel Atom Multi-Core 1.2 GHz Z2520 processor with Intel Hyper-Threading Technology and 8GB EMMC + 2GB RAM.
Last week, Asus has announced a price cut for the 16GB version of its Zenfone 5 smartphone to Rs 9,499. The 16GB version was priced, earlier, at Rs 12,499 while the 8GB version cost Rs 9,499.It has been confirmed that Xiaomi will be launching its Mi 4 smartphone in India on January 28. Earlier, in an exclusive interaction with IndianExpress.com, Xiaomi India head Manu Jain had hinted that the price of the upcoming Mi 4 smartphone would be around Rs 20,000.
The Xiaomi Mi 4 smartphone sports a 5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels at 441 ppi along with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It runs on a 2.5 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 CPU with 3GB RAM. Running Android 4.4.3 KitKat operating system sugarcoated with MIUI 6, the phone will offer a 13MP rear camera along with an 8M front camera. The rear camera will support 4K video recording.
